At Barberstown Castle, we are entirely focused on the experience of our guests and our priority always is your health and safety. Now, more than ever, in light of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, we are focused on the health and safety of both our guests and employees, without compromising the quality of your experience when you stay with us.

We are adhering to the latest information, protocols and tools from the world’s leading health experts and government authorities – including the World Health Organization to maximize the effectiveness of our response.  We will be taking precautionary measures at our venue to ensure your wellbeing, along with that of your fellow travellers and our employees.

We have heightened our strict practices around food handling, sanitization, disinfection and cleaning, plus specific measures based on the guidance of local health authorities. In addition to these measures, we encourage you to learn more about what you can do to travel more safely.  The World Health Organization has several recommendations to reduce exposure to a range of illnesses, including hand and respiratory hygiene as well as safe food practices.

Additional training has been arranged for our employees prior to their return to work in accordance with the Return to Work Safely Guidelines from the HSA, the HSE and the Department of Health and all our key staff are certified as required.

Rooms will continue to be fully sanitised in between guest departure/arrival.  Additional Sanitising stations will be offered throughout the hotel as well as in guest bedrooms.

In addition, we have introduced staggered sittings for breakfast and dinner services which we will pre-book with you.  Single use menus with reduced option wine lists will be in operation each day.  Bills can be emailed rather than printed if requested and payment can be as contactless as possible.

We are doing everything we can to provide a safe and ultimately enjoyable Country House experience when you visit us at Barberstown Castle. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Our full extensive Risk Assessment is available if required on request.

Best wishes
