Some Suggestions for your Vacation in Ireland....

Day 1: Visit the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens in the morning, visit the Kildare Town Heritage Centre. After lunch visit St. Brigid's Round Tower followed by an Afternoon of Shopping at Kildare Village (Chic Outlet shopping with up to 60% off). Barberstown Castle is delighted to provide a 10% off voucher for Kildare Village. Perhaps finish off the day with a visit to Castletown House. After a busy day, return to the Castle for a relaxing dinner in our Restaurant.

Day 2: Visit Dublin for the day! We recommend you take the Dublin Bus Eireann #120 Bus (journey 30 minutes) from directly outside the entrance Barberstown Castle which brings you directly into Dublin City Centre!

Day 3: We suggest a Day Trip to the Garden of Ireland with a visit to Russborough House and Glendalough. Perhaps take a break in the Roundwood Inn followed by a visit to Powerscourt Waterfall and Gardens.

Driving: As we drive on the Left Hand Side in Ireland, the 30 minute journey to the Castle from the Airport is very easy as 90% is on the Motorway. There are no traffic lights between Dublin Airport and the Castle. This allows you to adjust to Left Hand driving Safely.

Convenience: If you do not wish to drive into Dublin City Centre, there is a superb bus service (Bus Eireann #120) that will collect you from the gates of the Castle, taking a scenic drive along the Western Parkway directly into the heart of Dublin. Alternatively we can arranged a tour of the city with a private guide and driver.

Onward Journey: Because the Castle is at the apex of the M1, M50, M5 and M7 motorways, it is the most perfect starting point for your Blue Book tour of Ireland and is an ideal base from which to visit Dublin. To get the most from your vacation, fly into Dublin and home via Shannon Airport or vice versa.
